One person is in custody, following an alleged domestic assault in Macon, and a chase that crossed several counties. The Macon Police department says about 3 Tuesday afternoon, they received a report of a domestic assault in progress in the 1400 block of South Missouri Street. The victim said the man had left the residence. An officer saw him trying to leave the area on a motorcycle, and tried to stop him. The man fled southbound on Highway 63, eventually entering Randolph County, with officials giving up the pursuit near Clifton Hill. The suspect was eventually taken into custody by Boonville Police and taken to Howard County, and then back to Macon County Jail. He was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges to include felony domestic assault, felony resisting arrest by fleeing and driving while license suspended.
