A 20-year-old man was arrested after a domestic disturbance in Moberly Thursday night. Just after 11, Moberly Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a gun in the 600 block of Gratz Brown, and on arrival found the man inside a home actively damaging property. They determined the man assaulted his 56-year-old roommate causing physical injury, and during the altercation retrieved a pistol and fired a single shot. Officers located the pistol as well as a spent shell casing, along with a bullet hole in the ceiling. The man was arrested for domestic assault in the third degree, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest, and was taken to the Randolph County Justice Center. He is being held with no bond pending the filing of formal charges. His name is also being withheld pending that same filing.
