Main Street America Representatives to Visit Milan Tuesday

The City of Milan will be visited by representatives from Main Street America on Tuesday. The city council recently approved a proposal to join the Main Street America program, which works with towns and cities across the country to revitalize downtown areas. Milan City Administrator Fred Ventresco says from 5 to 7 pm that day there will be an organized event to welcome the Main Street America representatives to Milan.

The Milan Chamber of Commerce will be communicating with merchants and downtown business owners in the coming days for this special event.

The Main Street America visit will go a long way to determining whether Milan is accepted into the program. The city will learn whether it’s accepted in mid-October.
