Madison Schools Looking at Budget Crunch

The Madison School Board spent part of this month’s meeting taking a preliminary look at the budget for next school year. Superintendent Bryant Jones says the district may have a budget deficit.

Jones says a decrease in enrollment has reduced state and federal revenue.

Jones says the board still wants to keep teacher salaries competitive with those in surrounding districts.
