Macon Skills USA Students Participate in National Convention

Macon High School students Alexa Martinez and Isabella Berck recently attended the Skills USA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Superintendent Dr. Brent Hodge says Macon currently has 50 students participating in its Skills USA program.

Martinez and Berck are two of Missouri’s eight state leadership team members for Skills USA. Their leadership positions allowed them to attend the conference. Hodge says the trip wasn’t the end of their journey.

Macon’s Skills USA program runs out of the Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center (MAC-TEC). Students must be enrolled in a class at the career center in order to be a part of the program.
