Macon, Mexico Pull Away in Second Half to Advance to District Final

The Macon Tigers and Mexico Bulldogs used second half runs tonight to advance to the Class 4 District 8 final. Macon outscored Kirksville 15-10 in the fourth to pull away with a 42-35 victory, while Mexico started the second half with a 16-0 run in a 51-36 win over Centralia.
The largest lead for either team was five through the first three quarters of the Macon-Kirksville matchup. Boston Douglas led Macon with 11 points and converted a crucial 3-pointer in the fourth to help create separation for the Tigers.
