Macon Falls To Richmond 18-6

Richmond’s Aidan Ivison carried the ball 31 times for 269 yards and two touchdowns in the fifth-ranked Spartans 18-6 win over eighth-ranked Macon in the Class 2 District 8 semifinals Friday night.

Vanatta was pleased with the way his team came out in the second half, and how it played this season.

Macon’s season ends at 9-2. Richmond is now 10-1, and gets a rematch with second-ranked Lafayette County in the district championship. Lafayette County beat the Spartans 18-12 in Week 5, and advanced with a 46-0 win over Lawson Friday.
