Macon County Health Department Set to Distribute Naloxone

Missouri has spent years battling the opioid epidemic. One tool being used to fight these drug overdoses is Naloxone (Na-lox-own). Macon County Health Department Administrator Mike Chambers says Naloxone will soon be available at the department.

Chambers explains the process of receiving Naloxone from the department.

Naloxone rapidly reverses and blocks the effects of opioids. It can be distributed as a nasal spray or an injectable.
