The Macon County Health Department has released its weekly COVID-19 report. Their latest report shows a drop in new COVID-19 cases with 43 new cases reported this past week. That is down from 63 new cases in the previous week. Macon County currently has 43 active cases of the virus, which includes four hospitalizations. Of the new cases, six were previously vaccinated. The Macon County Health Department reminds residents that the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines are available weekly in their offices. Clinics are also offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
