The Macon County Health Department has released its weekly COVID-19 report. The latest report shows 63 new cases of the virus, which is nearly double the previous week’s total of 32 new cases. The number of active cases of the virus stands at 65 in the county. Two of those cases are currently hospitalized. A total of 16 of the new cases were vaccinated. The new cases are all in people under the age of 80. The Macon County Health Department reminds residents that the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available at their office. Vaccination clinics are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.
