Boston Douglas celebrated senior night with a 27-point performance. Fellow senior Maurice Magruder and MyKel Linear added 17 and 13 respectively. Coach Dale Devenport said it was good to see the seniors perform on a special night.

Monroe City started hot and held a 12-9 lead in the first quarter. However, the Tigers responded with a couple easy baskets off turnovers to grab control. Devenport said he liked the way his team settled into the game.

Colin Schowe with the call on Superstation KRES and Gares led the Lady Panthers with a game-high 14 points while Lucy Pratt chipped in with 13. Free throws were key for the Lady Panthers as they shot 16-19 for the game. Coach Adam Rung said some halftime adjustments also paid dividends.
