MACC Wins Two on Saturday

The MACC basketball teams both extended their winning streaks in the final night of the Thanksgiving Classic. The Lady Hounds won their ninth straight to start the season with an 88-53 win over Arkansas State Mid-South, and the men held off Highland of Illinois 64-57 to win their eighth in a row.

For the women, T’Aaliyah Miner led all scorers with 21, and Aaliyah Smith added 18.

Moberly is 9-0, and plays at Jefferson Friday night. Mid-South falls to 7-2.

The men finished the first half on a 21-3 run to erase a seven-point early deficit.

Brandon Hall had a game-high 15 points for the Greyhounds. Jaheim Tanksley and RaeShaun Ambris each had 13. The Greyhounds are 9-1, and play John A. Logan in the St. Louis Shootout next Sunday. Highland falls to 4-3.
