MACC Teams Remain Undefeated

The MACC basketball teams both remained undefeated on the young season with wins in the Orscheln Industries Classic, with the women beating the William Penn JV 81-55, and the men beating Link Year 95-65. The Lady Hounds were only up four in the third quarter before going on a 19-nothing run to put the game away.

J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Indya Green finished with 23 points to lead all scorers, and Keiori Lee added 20. Coach Hana Haden said before that run, her team struggled.

The Lady Hounds are now 3-0, and host the Central Methodist JV Tuesday.

The men were only up 43-35 at half time before running away from the Statesmen in the second half.

Five Hounds scored in double-figures, led by Sincere Parker with 19. Jimmy Bell and Dorion Staples both had 14 each. Coach Pat Smith says his team still needs to cut down on mental mistakes.
