MACC Teams Extend Winning Streaks

The MACC basketball teams swept State Fair Saturday night, with the women winning 101-51, extending their winning streak to 14 games; and the men winning 74-56, extending their winning streak to 15. The Lady Hounds and Lady Roadrunners were tied at 19 after one before Moberly took control in the second.

J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. K.K. Adams led all scorers with 23 points, including seven threes. The Lady Hounds led by 20 at the half and by 40 after three. Coach Hana Haden talked about how the game changes in the second quarter.

Bukky Akinsola and McKenna Eddings each had 18. Moberly is 25-2, and 12-1 in Region 16. State Fair falls to 13-13, and 3-10.

Brandon Hall led the Greyhounds with 22 in the nightcap.

Tre’von Spillers and Tedric Washington had 17 each. Coach Pat Smith said his team played hard again.

Moberly is now 25-3, and 10-0 in Region 16. State Fair falls to 8-20 and 2-9. Both MACC teams are at Mineral Area Wednesday night.
