MACC sweeps St Louis

The MACC basketball teams swept a doubleheader at St. Louis, with the women winning 92-47 and the men winning 85-68. The Lady Hounds never trailed after starting their game on an 11-nothing run.

Bryce Dowell had 19 points, and B’Aunce Carter had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Moberly shot 55 percent from the field and 48 percent behind the arc. The Lady Hounds are now 14-3. St. Louis fell to 5-8.

For the men, Moberly jumped out to a ten point lead at the half on their way to the win. Desi Jones led the Greyhounds with 18.

Markelo Sullivan added 17 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Both Moberly teams start Region 16 play Friday night at home against Three Rivers.
