The MACC basketball teams cruised to a pair of wins over Metropolitan Tuesday night, with the Lady Hounds winning 62-32 and the Greyhounds winning 115-71. The Lady Hounds were up 12 by halftime and continued to stretch the lead in the second.

The Lady Hounds are 7-2, and host Kennedy King from Chicago Friday night. Metropolitan falls to 5-3.

The Greyhounds opened the game on a 10-nothing run but only led by 13 at halftime, before outscoring the Wolves 20-to-8 in the first five minutes of the second half.

Cortez Mosley led all scorers with 23, as six Hounds reached double digits. Markelo Sullivan had 18; Eddie Creal and Tyrek Chambers each had 16. Coach Pat Smith was more pleased with the second half than the first.

The Greyhounds are 7-2, and host Highland of Illinois Friday night. Metropolitan falls to 3-7.
