MACC SWEEPS IN SEASON OPENERS
Both MACC basketball teams won theis season openers going away, with the Lady Hounds beating Marshalltown 115-33, and the Greyhounds beating William Penn’s JV 124 to 75. Deanna Wilson led the Lady Hounds with 22, and Bryce Dowell added 19.
Coach Hana Haden’s team was up 27-4 after one quarter.
In the late game, Tyrek Chambers scored 27.

In the other games at the Orscheln Farm and Home Classic, the Rend Lake women beat Independence of Kansas of 89-86, and the Link Year Prep mem beat Marshalltown 95-93.
