MACC Lady Hounds Go 2-0 In Opening-Season Classic But The Greyhounds Lose A Tight Game To North Central

MACC’s basketball teams split their games Saturday night, with the women beating John Wood 92-38, while the men lost to North Central 77-75. Aaliyah Smith had 17 to lead the Lady Hounds, and K.K. Adams added 15.

J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and Coach Hana Haden is still figuring out how the pieces of this team fit.

The Lady Hounds are 2-0, and will be at the Vincennes Classic next Friday and Saturday. John Wood falls to 1-2.

The Greyhounds erased a 12-point second half deficit, but could not quite overcome being down seven in the final minute of their loss to the Pirates.

Jaheim Tanksley got to the line with three seconds left, but he missed the first of two free throws, and the Greyhounds couldn’t rebound the intentional miss on the second. Tedric Washington led Moberly with 16, and Amorey Womack had 14 off the bench. Coach Pat Smith…

Moberly went 14 of 29 from the free throw line for the game. The Hounds are 1-1, and will host John Wood Tuesday night. North Central is now 3-0.
