MACC Resumes Plans For Baseball and Softball

After being postponed by a year by the pandemic, Moberly Area Community College is again moving forward with plans to add baseball and softball, to start play in the spring of 2023. President Dr. Jeff Lashley says the college is actively looking for head coaches for both programs.

Lashley explains why MACC chose these two sports.

Unlike basketball, in which the Greyhounds are Division 1 programs, the new teams will be NJCAA Division 2.

The college has had tentative discussions with the city of Moberly to play home games and practice at the Howard Hils Athletic Complex. MACC had also announced last year plans to start e-sports, but that effort is still on hold.
