MACC President Anticipating More Withholds Next Year

Last week, Governor Mike Parson announced a second round of withholds from a number of areas, including higher education. MACC President Dr. Jeff Lashley is expecting more withholds in the new budget year.
The amount that will be withheld next year is expected to be significant.
An unknown is the CARES Act funding.
Of the $209 million in cuts announced last week, over $41 million comes from the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and over $131 million from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
