The MACC Greyhounds announced the final three additions to the roster for the upcoming season. The team signed 6’6″, 185 pound wing Shamar Dillard from South Bend, Indiana; 6’5″ guard Makalani Kafele from Long Beach, California; and 6’3″, 205 pound guard Tully Thomsen from Oak Grove. Dillard is transferring NCAA Division I Eastern Michigan, where he played in 28 games averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game last season as a freshman. As a senior at South Bend Riley High School, Dillard averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists while leading his team to sectional and regional championships. Kafele played at College Prep Academy last season, where he averaged 15 points per game, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per contest. He had committed to Angelina College in Texas, but the Roadrunners have cancelled their season due to the pandemic. Thomsen averaged 24 points and 9 rebounds per game as a senior, and hit more than 40 percent from behind the arc. As a junior, he played for former Moberly Coach Tyler Hames, and prior to that he played at North Callaway.
