MACC Basketball Teams Get First Wins of Season

Tekao Carpenter’s 29 points, including the team’s first 14 of the game, led the 20th-ranked Moberly Greyhounds to a 73-65 win over Butler Saturday night.

The Greyhounds play Southeastern of Iowa Friday afternoon at 5 in the Missouri-Iowa Challenge at Indian Hills.
In the first game, the Lady Hounds picked up their first win for Coach Erika Harris in a 64-37 win over Lincoln Trail. The Lady Hounds took control early.
Jordan Labrador-Hallett and Sydney Pettis each had 11, and Destiny Bynum-Johnson finished with a team-high 17. Coach Erika Harris talked about Bynum-Johnson’s play.
The Lady Hounds are now 1-1, and play John A. Logan at Poplar Bluff Friday.
