The Moberly Lady Hounds beat Crowder 108-70, and the Greyhounds beat West Plains 110-93 Wednesday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Kaysie Newson and Bryce Dowell started torching the nets from outside early.

Bryce Dowell finished with 26 points, including eight threes. Haden said the bench was encouraging Dowell to break Chatori Tyler’s record of ten triples.

DeAnna Wilson had 19 points and ten rebounds. Kasie Newson added 17 points, including five threes. The Lady Hounds are 18-4, and 4-1 in Region 16, while the Roughriders are 12-11, and 1-4.

The 15th-ranked Greyhounds were led by Dusan Mahorcic’s 29 points.

Coach Pat Smith was pleased with how his game has improved this season.

Markelo Sullivan added 20. Smith said his team could have better defensively.

The Greyhounds are 20-4 and 5-0 in the region, while the Grizzlies are now 8-16, and 1-3. It’s the ninth straight season the Moberly men have won 20+ games. Both MACC teams are at Mineral Area Saturday night.
