LUTHERAN ST. CHARLES ENDS MOBERLY’S SEASON WITH DISTRICT SEMIFINAL SHUTOUT
Eric Duick on the call of the second of three Arlen Harris, Jr. touchdown runs in the first half. Harris rushed for an unofficial 109 yards, and teammate Rhod Gibson added 146 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown on a fake punt on fourth and 23. Cody McDowell’s Spartans trailed 34-0 at half.
Moberly fumbled three times in the first half. The Spartans recorded just 117 yards of offense Friday. McDowell said a few plays defined the game.
The Spartans finished 7-4 despite an injury-riddled season and the loss of 17 seniors. McDowell offered his overall takeaways.
