Missouri Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says he’s supporting Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise to be the next Speaker of the House.
As for Ohio Republican Jim Jordan, or some of the other dark horse candidates’ names being floated…
Some Republicans have suggested making former President Donald Trump the next speaker.
Trump suggested he could be interim speaker before backing Jordan. Luetkemeyer says with Patrick McHenry of North Carolina handling the duties on an interim basis, Trump is not needed in the House.
