Luetkemeyer Reacts to Marijuana Pardons

President Biden last week announced he was pardoning previous non-violent federal marijuana convictions. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says that’s the president’s prerogative.

Luetkemeyer says there are a few bills being considered in Congress that could legalize marijuana, but as of now, it’s still illegal.

The SAFE Banking Act would allow banks to take deposits from cannabis businesses, but Luetkemeyer doubts that Congress would approve a clean bill that deals with only marijuana regulation at the federal level.
