Luetkemeyer Discusses Judicial Ethics

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has come under fire recently following a report that he had gifts, vacations, and private school tuition for a grandnephew in his care paid for by billionaire Harlan Crow for more than 20 years without disclosing them. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer said on KWIXLand This Morning last week that the allegations are merely a “politcal smear” on Thomas.

Questions have also been raised about a property sale by Justice Neil Gorsuch to the head of a law firm, and by Chief Justice John Roberts’ wife working as a legal recruiter for law firms that often had cases before the Supreme Court. Luetkemeyer says he’s more concerned about the leak last year of the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Dobbs case that overturned Roe vs. Wade.

Investigators for the Supreme Court issued a report in January saying they were unable to identify who leaked that decision.
