A conference call was held with county health departments after Governor Parson announced his COVID vaccine incentive program last week. Part of the Governor’s plan allowed for county health departments to offer up to $25 in vaccine incentives. Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand (whiz-uh-nand) says each county health department gets to decide whether or not to participate….

Whisenand says if the local health department chooses to participate the gift cards will only be for the newly vaccinated….

Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand says she will consult with her Board of Directors on whether or not to participate in the vaccine incentive program.

At the state level, Governor Parson revealed a three category plan to award prizes up to 10-thousand dollars for Missouri citizens who get the COVID-19 shots. That includes those that have already received the vaccine.
