Local Group Holding Fundraiser to Stop Animal Waste Facility in Jacksonville

The group Citizens of Randolph County Against Pollution is looking to raise awareness against a planned animal waste facility in Jacksonville. The group is concerned about health problems and smells that could stem from the facility. Committee Member Steve Gieseking explains the focus of the group.

A fundraiser for the group will be held Sunday at Silver Dollar Event Center in Cairo from 1 to 6 pm.

There will be speakers on hand to inform the public on the issue. Food and drinks, along with a raffle will be available at the event.
