There was some significant movement among area college soccer teams in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll. In the men’s poll Central Methodist and Missouri Valley saw significant movement. Central Methodist moved into the top spot in the poll by virtue of remaining undefeated at 5-0-0. They also received 16 of 18 first-place votes. Missouri Valley dropped out of the top spot, all the way down to number ten, following a pair of losses this past week. In between the two Heart of America Conference rivals is Columbia College, which moved up a spot to number four in the latest poll.
In the women’s poll, Central Methodist maintains top honors among area schools by remaining in eighth place for another week. Meanwhile, Columbia College moved up one spot to number twelve and Missouri Valley remains ranked 17th in this week’s poll.
