Livestock Marketing Association Introduces Scholarship Opportunity

The Livestock Marketing Association will award up to five scholarships this spring to college students pursuing a career aimed at advancing the livestock industry.  Applications are now open for the $2500 scholarships, and LMA Communications and Strategic Media Specialist Natalie Ayers explains why LMA is debuting this program.

Students will need to complete an application as well as write a personal essay, include a headshot, and official transcript.  Ayers says a letter of recommendation from an active LMA member is also required.

Current college students and high school seniors are eligible to apply, with a deadline of March 31st at 4pm Central.  Details about the scholarship and the application are available on the Livestock Marketing Association website.

Ayers notes that students attending an auction school are not eligible for this scholarship, as a separate program supporting these students is currently under development.
