Little Dixie Regional Libraries Named The Missouri Library Of The Year

Little Dixie Regional Libraries is the Missouri Library of the Year. The award was presented at the Missouri Library Association Conference Thursday night.
In the last year, LDRL has added a “Library of Things” collection, including fishing poles, STEAM to Go kits, and ties. The library has also expanded its wifi hotspot collection, added a “Lit Locker” after-hours pick up location, and provides a monthly subscription-style “Book Box” service. LDRL has worked with neighboring libraries to provide summer reading performers to rural communities. In 2023, the library hosted their third annual “Moberly Literacy Day” for area schools.
Little Dixie Regional Libraries employs 24 staff members at locations in Moberly, Huntsville, Madison, and Paris. The library has been in continuous service since 1902 and is part of the Missouri Evergreen consortium. The current director is Rachael Grime.
