Linn County Resident Elected As Missouri Farm Bureau North Director-At-Large
A St Catharine resident will join Missouri Farm Bureau’s board of directors as the north director-at-large. Dana Lane was elected to the post at last week’s annual meeting. Lane will represent Farm Bureau members who live in Districts One through Four, covering the north and west-central parts of the state. She is a former president and membership chair of the Linn County Farm Bureau, and has also served on Missouri Farm Bureau’s Promotion and Education committee. As an at-large director, Lane will also become the committee’s vice-chair.
Lane is a grade-school teacher who recently returned from retirement amid ongoing staff shortages in her district. She and her husband Terrill manage a beef cattle custom-feeding operation on their fourth-generation farm in northern Linn County. The family also purchases livestock for their lots as well as for other clients.
Lane will serve a two-year term as North Director-At-Large. She succeeds Mary Fischer of Rockville.
