Lewis and Clark Athletic Directors Discuss Spring Sports Plans

MSHSAA announced Tuesday there are no changes to spring sports championships in response to the coronavirus. Regional Radio spoke with three Lewis and Clark athletic directors to learn how schools handle scheduling unknowns with all Missouri schools closed and spring sports in doubt. Marceline Athletic Director Mark Ross echoes Fessler’s scheduling priorities.

Ross coached Marceline football to the state semifinals and is in his second year as the Tigers athletic director.

Westran Schools are closed through April 24th. Teams are not allowed to practice, gather for informal workouts, or play games until classes resume. Westran Athletic Director Aaron O’Laughlin details his spring schedule approach.

MSHSAA canceled the Class 4 and 5 basketball semifinal and state title games. The state music festival, and the speech, debate, and theatre championships are also canceled.
