Last year, the Missouri Legislature lost six weeks of work due to the onset of COVID-19. This year’s legislative session has already seen both the house and the senate forced to take breaks due to outbreaks of the virus, and the weather. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch says despite these temporary shut downs they are moving quickly on a variety of legislation.

The Hallsville Republican adds that the potential for a similar shutdown to last year is also making them work quicker.

The 2021 Missouri Legislative Session is scheduled to run through May 14th.
