Leake Reflects on Successful Season at Mark Twain

After one season as the head coach of Mark Twain football, Austin Leake is making the jump to college to serve as the tight ends coach at Division II Henderson State. In his lone season as Tigers head coach, Leake led Mark Twain to a 10-2 record and the program’s first winning season since 2016. Leake reflects on this past season with the Tigers.

Leake says the Tigers program will continue to be successful.

Prior to Mark Twain, Leake spent six seasons at Bowling Green High School, including one season as the offensive coordinator. Leake says his years as a high school coach have prepared him for the college level.

Mark Twain has hired Mark Epperson as Leake’s replacement. Epperson has served as the Tigers defensive coordinator the last 18 seasons.
