Nancy Copenhaver, Vice President of the League of Women Voters of Missouri, says the League is opposed to all of the proposed initiative petition reform proposals that were heard in a Missouri House committee last week.
She says there’s also a practical reason not to require a majority of Congressional districts or legislative districts to approve an amendment.
Copenhaver says the League has a proposal to allow voters to keep their say, without voters continually adding new things to the state Constitution.
Copenhaver says there is a bill filed to do that, but doesn’t think it will get far in the Legislature. She was our guest Tuesday on KWIXLand This Morning.
