Representative David Gregory of St. Louis sponsored House Bill 1873. It was referred to the Fiscal Review Committee Thursday. People convicted of carjacking would get five to 15 years in prison, which would double if the victim is seriously injured, the carjacker is armed with a real or fake weapon, or takes a vehicle with a child in it.
