Larry Duane Tolbert

Larry Duane Tolbert, age 56, of Bowling Green, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 3, 2024 with his family by his side.

Larry was born January 15, 1968, the youngest son of Erneta Bernice and William Kenneth Tolbert of Louisiana.

Surviving are his children Austin Hays of Lincoln County, MO, Zachary Tolbert of Middletown, MO and Shelbie Tolbert of Middletown, MO; grandchildren Elisabeth Hays, Lillie Hays, Leland Hays, Kenneth Summers, Kennadi Tobias and Ryker Tobias.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jarrod Tolbert; three brothers Nathan, Willie, and Randall Tolbert.

Larry worked at maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana as a N.A. off and on as a young man. He then began working for Victor Pipe and Steel as a welder for many years until a work accident forced him to retire.

Larry was always the life of the party and loved being with his children and grandchildren. He loved to ride around and listen to rock and roll, build model cars and go fishing on the good days.

He also leaved behind his thirteen-year-old healer Blitz, who was his best friend.

Larry’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later time.

Cremation rites are under the direction of Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green.
