Lady Spartans Look to Maintain Momentum Against Centralia

Coming off a victory over defending Class 4 champion Boonville, the Moberly Lady Spartans will look to ride that momentum into a Tuesday night matchup at Centralia. With both teams occupying the same district, Moberly coach Tony Vestal says this game takes on some extra meaning.

Centralia won last season’s meeting 52-38. Vestal says his team will have to be fundamentally sound on both ends of the floor in order to be successful against Centralia.

Moberly comes into the game with a record of 5-2. Meanwhile, Centralia is 3-5 and have lost their last four games. Centralia coach Becca Schemmer says this game is a great opportunity for her team to bounceback.

While the Lady Panthers have lost four straight, all of those defeats have come by 13 or fewer points. Schemmer says the key to turning things around lies in their offense.

Pregame coverage will begin at 7:15 pm on KRES 104.7 and centralmoinfo.com. Colin Schowe will have the play-by-play.
