Lady Hounds Win Region 16
Despite playing without both Keiori Lee and K.K. Adams, the Moberly Lady Greyhounds clinched a fourth consecutive berth in the NJCAA National Tournament with a 78-57 win over Mineral Area in the Region 16 Championship Game Friday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Bukky Akinsola took over with a 21-point effort, with Jenny Ntambwe and T’Aaliyah Miner each adding 14, as Moberly took the lead for good late in the first half.
Both Lee and Adams were injured in Tuesday’s win over Jefferson in the semifinal. Akinsola said the rest of the team responded.
