The Moberly Lady Hounds basketball team finished its roster for the upcoming season with two recent signings: Erin Harris, a 5’8″ guard from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Paris Gaines, a 6’3″ forward from Orlando, Florida. Coach Hana Haden is excited about the experience Harris, a transfer from Division One Northwestern State of Louisiana, brings.

Harris averaged 6.7 points and 24.5 minutes per game in her freshman season in 2020-21, and saw limited action last year. She averaged a double-double her junior season of high school with 14.0 points and 10 assists per game, and was the conference tournament MVP as a senior at Notre Dame Catholic in Connecticut. Gaines gives Haden the taller player she’s been looking for.

Her presence should help solidify roles for her teammates.

The Lady Hounds will host a basketball camp this Saturday for players at the Activity Center. The morning session is for players going into grades 2 through 8, and the afternoon session is for grades 9 through 12. The cost is 40 dollars.
