Labuary Brothers To Be Enshrined in Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

Missouri Football Coaches Hall of Fame members Dale Labuary and the late Geary Labuary are amongst the prestigious Missouri Sports Hall of Fame class of 2022. Dale Labuary says it’s a special feeling to be inducted alongside his brother.

Labuary says football has been in the family genes since his youth.

Dale Labuary coached for 27 seasons at Monroe City, including two Class 2 State Championships in 1994 and 1996. Dale was the 21st coach in Missouri’s history to achieve the 200 wins mark with a 201-73 career record. His two state-champion teams went 14-0 in 1994 and 13-1 in 1996.

The late Geary Labuary, head coaching stops at Windsor, Clinton (Ill.) and Beloit, Kansas came before he landed at California High School for 15 seasons. Geary would amass 307 career victories, enough to earn him the spots as third-most-winningest coach in Missouri history. Labuary’s 1997 California Football team went 14-0 as they won the State Championship that year. The hall of famer passed away in 2017.

The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame induction will be November 20th in Columbia.
