La Plata’s Wood and Pipes Sign With MACC

A pair of La Plata athletes signed to play softball and baseball for Moberly Area Community College’s new programs this year. Both Pieper Wood and Tanner Pipes signed their paperwork Tuesday. Wood says she’s looking forward to help start the college’s softball culture for coach Matt Bauer.

Wood is willing to accept just about any role.

Wood plans to study early childhood education.

Pipes looks forward to playing close to home.

With a number of future Greyhounds coming from north central Missouri, Pipes knows many of them.

Pipes is leaning towards working in sports management.
