La Plata’s Buescher Collects 500th Career Win

An area basketball coach hit a significant milestone Tuesday night. With a 56-44 victory over Bevier, La Plata boys basketball coach Greg Buescher tallied his 500th career win.
Buescher guided the 2010 Sturgeon Bulldogs to an undefeated season. He also has had stops in Illinois, Moberly, Mexico, Clark County, Glasgow, and Trenton. The fourth year La Plata coach reveals how he got into coaching.
Buescher says getting his 500th win with his son Jarrett on the team makes it extra special.
Buescher will look for win number 501 Friday when La Plata welcomes Bucklin-Macon County.
