La Plata Softball Wins Big Over Conference Opponent Bevier

The La Plata Lady Dogs scored nine runs in the 1st inning on the way to a 17-2 win in four innings over the Bevier Lady Cats. Each batter in the lineup reached base the first time around for La Plata. Four different Lady Dogs drove in at least two runs. Sophomore Layne Mack put the game away in the fourth.

Bevier scored two runs in the 3rd inning with RBI’s from Lanie Witt and Jordan Harrington. Harrington took the loss on the mound for the Lady Cats. Coach Macey Harrington liked the fight shown by her starting pitcher.

Bevier falls to 5-4 and takes its first conference loss this season. La Plata has scored double-digit runs in every win this season. The Lady Dogs improve to 11-2.
