The results are in from the “Teams of the Decade” vote in eight sports at centralmoinfo.com. The Operations Manager for our Alpha Media Moberly group of stations, Brad Boyer, has the rundown….

Multiple Monroe City and Salisbury teams claimed All-Decade honors. Monroe City’s 2017 football team completed an undefeated state championship season with a 12-7 victory opposite perennial power Valle Catholic. Voters also recognized the 2019 Monroe City boys track and field state title squad. Salisbury’s 2019 state championship softball team sealed All-Decade status after it beat Canton 4-1 in the finals last fall. The Lady Panthers’ 2017 track and field team won the All-Decade poll with a third place state finish. Both basketball All-Decade teams were undefeated state champions. The 2015 Meadville boys finished 32-0, and the 2011 Marion County girls ended 30-0 with a 24-point state championship win versus Exeter. Boonville’s 2016 baseball squad impressed voters with a 26-6 state runner-up campaign that closed with a championship loss to MICDS. 2018 Mexico wrestling earned All-Decade recognition with the program’s first state championship.

Let the debate begin. One thing we can all agree on is the decade of the 2010s in Big K Country was a decade of excellence. Thanks to all who went to centralmoinfo.com and voted.
