As reported last week, New Franklin standout guard Gavin Bishop signed with Central Methodist University basketball. The Central Activities Conference MVP originally had his mind on going to Mizzou to be a student.

Bishop was already accepted to CMU and all he needed to do was enroll in classes to be eligible to play. Bishop shared his thought process of how he ended up wanting to continue playing basketball.

Bishop is still undecided on what major he wants to persue at CMU, but is considering something health-related. He talks about what kind of player CMU will be getting.

In addition to being named the CAC MVP, Bishop helped guide New Franklin to a 24-2 record and back-to-back district championships. You can hear more from Bishop on the Chariton Valley Magic City Sports Talk page under the sports tab.
