Knox County Continues Transition to 8-Man Football

Knox County continues to prepare for its first season of eight-man football this fall. The Eagles announced last September they would make the move, citing enrollment numbers being a big reason for the switch. Knox County coach Bruce Vannoy says so far, the transition from 11-man to eight-man has gone well.

Vannoy elaborates on the defensive changes.

Knox County painted its eight-man field in May. Vannoy says he’s surprised there hasn’t as much of an adjustment than what he originally thought.

The Eagles plan to head to Albany for a camp and scrimmage in July. They will host Schuyler County in their season opener August 27th.
