Truman State guard Katey Klucking was the first recipient of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week award for Women’s Basketball. The sophomore from Columbia averaged 21.5 points in two Truman wins over UW-Parkside and Ursuline College at the GLVC/GMAC/GLIAC conference challenge held in Quincy, Illinois. Klucking shot 51.6% from the field, including 8-of-15 (53%) from outside the arc in 55 minutes of action in the two games. She scored 22 points in the 82-71 win over UW-Parkside on Saturday and 21 points in an 87-75 win over the Arrows of Ursuline on Sunday.

Klucking was the first Bulldog player since late in the 2017 season to score 20 or more points in consecutive games. Cassidy Clark scored 20 points or more in three straight and was the last Bulldog to earn GLVC Player of the Week honors for that feat.
